Celebrating Our Website’s First Anniversary In Style!

We are feeling very festive this week at Blas & Co HQ because both our website and our latest pyjamas/t-shirt designs are now 1 year old! Wow, what a year!

We originally opened our Etsy shop in September 2020 and, as time went on, our social media following grew and we made loads of happy customers who recommended us to their friends – orders started coming in thick and fast! We were blown away!

By Spring 2021 we found ourselves in need of a website we could call my own, run independently from any marketplace platform. Somewhere that we could not only sell our products, but also to tell our story and share important information. Looking back at the last 12 months, it was absolutely the correct decision!

To mark this wonderful anniversary we have a few new things to tell you about, so keep reading to find out more!

Newsletters. Keeping in touch the old fashioned way!

We will be also sending our first ever email newsletter this week to all the lovely people who have signed up already (haven’t joined yet? You can sign up here and get free shipping on your first order from this website!)

This is another important milestone for us because it means we can keep in touch with our customers without relying on just Instagram and Facebook (which have been, shall we say, temperamental with post delivery recently…), meaning no one misses out on the latest news, special offers and product launches!

But don’t worry, we will still be posting just as regularly in all the usual places! How else would we see all your beautiful hounds wearing our products?! #blasandco

Future Fashounds

We are so happy to announce that we are starting a new initiative to allow us to do more to help hounds in need all over the world. Today we are launching our new ‘Future Fashounds’ scheme.

Collaborating with organisations that rescue, rehabilitate and rehome sighthounds has always been a huge part of our business plan. We have donated to lots of rescue centres since the launch of our brand 18 months ago, raising over £380 already so far, but we are hoping this new scheme will help raise even more funds on an even more regular basis. 

Moving forwards, and also backdated to all sales made this month, Blas & Co will donate £1 for every sighthound garment sold worldwide, across all our sales channels. Every pyjama, t-shirt or jumper your hound wears will be directly helping another sighthound find their furever home.

We will pick a different organisation to donate to every quarter. Organisations that focus on animal welfare, particularly sighthound rescues, across the world ensuring the money can go to help as many different animals as possible.

The first donation (April to June 2022) will be going to Scottish Greyhound Sanctuary (SGS) (https://www.scottishgreyhoundsanctuary.org), a wonderful, fully independent and voluntary-based organisation I discovered thanks to one of our customers.

Whippet Pyjamas/T-shirts Now Available!

More exciting news I wanted to share with you is that we now offer whippet sizes for our range of sleeveless pyjamas/t-shirts! There are 4 standard sizes available now on all the relevant product pages, and you can find more details in our Choosing The Right Size For Your Whippet Clothing page.

A huge thank you to everyone who completed the form we circulated through social media during March.

But that is not all! We have also added a new ‘Small’ size to our greyhound pyjamas/t-shirts range. If you have a rather petite greyhound and are after a snug fit, or perhaps you have a lurcher that is a little bit smaller than the standard greyhound, this are the news you have been waiting for!

Another New Design Evolution

At the same time that we launched our website in late April 2021 we also announced the first major evolution of our pyjamas/t-shirt designs, with our now characteristic chest panel extending down the side of the body to give a more streamlined appearance that invokes a sense of speed.

12 months later we have done it again with another design evolution for our dual-patterned garments – with the addition of an accented panel of fabric and wider cuffing around the bum. After all, it is what we all look at when we are going for a walk right?! So we should make it interesting!
